Losing Focus

Lately many companies are under going some kind of restructuring, and that exercise has actually given lots of employees a very negative effective. Employees though stand by the company fight for the bad economy, some how, will the company appreciate what has the employees done for all these years?

I know some companies employees are basically dragging their feet to work, their spirit is like floating somewhere, they just can’t focus on their job.

If this market continues like this… I doubt the people will be able to boost up to the level that they used to be.

What I could just say is stay focus, stay positive… but how long can you stay focus and positive? No one will have such strength to stay on like this.

Do you?

Gloomy 2009

After a long break, tomorrow will be going back to work.

Wonder will the office be quiet or like a battle ground again??

Bottom line, we gotta be grateful for the job that we have, whether it’s shit or stink, it’s good to have a job for these days.

Even Microsoft has announced they will be retrenching its staff for the 1st time. Recession is covering the entire globe for 2009.

What should we do to stay strong in this weak market??

Economy Pain!!!

Headline fuel price drop another 10¢ for the 7th time!!!

Question here is, is there anything big deal??
I don’t find it…

If am not mistaken I read something yesterday about fuel price too. Diesel will not drop further as fishermen are wealthy people. How could they say something like that?? Isn’t it this is a irresponsible statement?

I’ve been really down and moody since last Friday. Company had official announced freeze merit increment. And certain companies had implemented pay cut plant wide and worldwide. When will be our turn?

To think positively is we still have a job.

But when come to think of it, why would this thing happen?? And why management did not take preventive measurements to over come this hurdles??

I know certain companies practises tele-conference or video conference for internal meeting. It’s a one time cost that causes a pain, in a long run, the company and the employees are benefited. And I know some companies, just wouldn’t’ careless… they spend like nobody’s business. Internal meetings, they chose to fly from one destination to another. Company team building held it in Pangkor Island, Langkawi Island… but nobody cares to bother if we spend less will that help to ease company’s cash flow?

Though I know I am nobody to voice out such concern… however, this is my private corner to let it out from my chest!

Market panic

With the current market situation, how many will go ahead with their holiday plan?

I guess everybody is in a very depressing mood. Yesterday Dow Jones has trembling down and it affects Asian market. What right now is cash is the only thing that could survive.

Thus, you would have to take a look at your safety net, is it strong enough to sustain your weight. Otherwise, it will just burst out before you could do anything to save it.

Many countries had announced that they are getting into recessions and we see giants like Citigroup is retrenching 50k staff, crude oil is sliding down to USD53 right now. People are now starting to worry for deflation instead of inflation. And all these could lead to deep recession, and it will probably take a few years to re-build it back.

Things that we heard are getting real scary… and though we know it’s beyond our control cuz, these are all business decisions. Some companies are eliminating staffs that are under performing, or even excess headcounts. Some are planning for year end shut down; some even had alerted many of their employees that foresee next year will not have increment. Thus far, have yet to hear anything like pay cut.

What would be our alternatives right now?? How do we brace this financial storm?
