My Spa Experience, Pangkor Laut Resort III

In my other blog I posted about the breakfast that we enjoyed in Feast Village on our day 2. After the breakfast plus scenery admiring, we proceed to Spa Village.
It was our first time to engage a Spa treatment or service. And I was pretty nervous when they advised us what to do.

Whenever we are in their reception, they will serve us 2 glasses of lemongrass drink and a cold tower. It was refreshing and relaxing. Of course, I wouldn’t know does lemongrass gives a calming sensation to our body, but it’s always relaxing and calming after that.

We engaged Spa Village’s Couple Spa Treatment which is some kind of treatment for Malay wedding ceremony for the bride and groom. They also advised us to be there early to enjoy the Spa Village facilities, and it requires 45 minutes to utilize the facilities like Malay Cold Bath, Japanese Bath, Rotenburu Pool, Shanghai Scrub, followed by foot bath and foot pounding.
Before we walk thru the Malay Cold Bath, the Spa Village’s staff wants us to make a wish in the well, then only we walk thru the pool. The water was freezing cold but it was something that I’ve not done it before.

After the that, the staff will ask us to inhale the 4 corners herbs, I only remember one of that is to clear our lungs, and all of these are good for health.

Oh ya, though we engaged Couple Spa Treatment, but female and male are not supposed to share these facilities together, which means I’ll go my way, he’ll go his way. [LOL]

Before we went thru all these baths, we will be guided to the changing room, and the staff will asked us to remove all your clothing and your belongings. Then, they will tie us with a Batik Sarong. Then only they will ask us to make a wish in the well, follow by the Malay Cold Bath.

After the inhale herbs corners, the staff will bring us to the Japanese -style cleansing with a 'goshi-goshi' cloth. Then after, followed by a dip in the heated Rotenburu pool. The staff told us that the Rotenburu pool is actually consists of many herbs that is good for our health, on top of that they are also serving ginger tea for us.

After this Rotenburu pool, they brought me to a small room, and that’s where they did a Shanghai scrub on me and given me a new sarong. After that, they will proceed with a foot bath and a foot pounding. They told us that’s good for blood circulation.

These are the 45mins complimentary facilities that were given if you engage the spa treatment with Spa Village. After that, their staff will take you to any Pavilion for any Spa treatment. Since, we engaged Couple Spa Treatment, the staff brought both of us to a Pavilion. Where they have cozy atmosphere, soft music to soothing your sensation.

This experience consists of 5 treatments each of the male and female. Both are equally the same, first, they will massage your body, then they will give you a 10 minutes break and provide you some herbal tea. I remembered clearly that herbal tea is bitter taste, thus they advise you to add on honey before you drink.

After that the short break, they will continue with your hair treatment and followed by the face treatment.

After that, they will have another traditional body scrubbing, and we may proceed to have our shower. It’s an open shower for both of us. It’s entire different experience for both of us.
After our shower, they provide us a milk bath with lots of flowers pedals in the pool for us to dip for about 10 minutes also. Then, we’ll continue with a steam bath before we end the entire treatment. All in, we have spent about the whole morning in Spa Village.
After all treatments, they will take us to a wooden hub for rest... it was a pleasant experience for both of us. I was too excited over the surrounding and took lots of pictures. Particularly like their swimming pool very much. I find that it's so beautiful that you could actually see the Straits of Malacca while you're swimming. Isn't this wonderful?

Look at the fish ponds, it was so beautiful... I was fascinating on every single thing in Spa Village.

Hi Wilson, let's put it this way, I am not rich. But this is a good deal. Per night for that resort is already charging RM1200 for Garden Villa. But this promotion package comes with 3 meals. And FYI, their meal is expensive, min RM100++. Beside for the Spa, is RM750 per person for 5 treatments, if we do not engage such package, ala carte treatment already charge at RM290 minimum.

Hi BB Comm, I am the person that hardly go for holiday, only spend once a year. :)

Hi New Kid,

Thank you for sharing those beautiful pictures you have. After seeing them I wish I could be there now.

As you mentioned, the package you got is RM799 per pax and I think it is a very good deal. May I know where u book the package?

My hubby and I plan to go to Pangkor Laut Resort for our anniversary.

We are still deciding whether to go for Garden Villa or Hill Villa. Ground floor or 1st floor unit?

Hope you can give me some advice.

Thank you so much ;)

Hi Anoymous,
The RM799 deal is actually a promotion for Citibank client. You can actually call up Pangkor Laut Resort for further enquiry. They do have special rate for M'sians/Sporeans if am not mistaken.
If only you and your husband, do book yourself in a Sea Villa. That worth every single penny you paid for it.
Hope this helps.

Did your husband have treatments from men only? Some spas seem to separate genders completely.
