Slumdog Millionaire

I dropped all my house chores last night and sit right in front of my TV, just because I want to watch the recent won Best Motion Picture – Slumdog Millionaire.

If you follow the 81 Academy Awards which aired on Monday (SEA Time), am sure you wouldn’t find this strange. Yes, this movie nominated for 13 awards and swept 8 Oscar for the night.

My sis told me there are no good movies from the Oscar, well, I totally disagree with her statement. Do you find the Titanic bored, do you find Silent of the Lamb screwed up, do you find The Pianist violent? All of these are the Best Motive Picture that won for the past year.

Honestly the Slumdog Millionaire had gave me an eye-opening for what’s happening in Mumbai India and from the entire movie, you could see a young boy – Jamal Malik is struggling with his living. From a pick-pocket to chai-wallah (young boy that serves tea), what had happened to his life is basically all the questions are being asked when he participates for the ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ show.

This is another part that I find why are they so ‘dirty’ in a sense that they do not believe a kid who is so truthful and sincere to the answers.

Another part of the movie is how those gangsters collect those street children to help them to beg for money and even how they ‘scoop’ the kid’s eyes with a spoon.

Oh yes, one last thing about this movie. It has all the classic of any Indian Movies. The dancing part… that’s how it ends.

Good movie to watch!
