Finally the eye-catching, the world watching by-election is over!!!
With this by-election fever, there are many people watching how fair it has been carried out and how the ruling government react if the opposition wins.
Apart from that, with this by-election, there are many things happened!!
An abduction case happened on 25 August, Sungai Ara area.
Robbery case happened in Penang International Airport.
That means majority the polices and FRUs have gone to this happening place – Permatang Pauh.
I just wonder, how much money that had spent on this??
Why didn’t they spare some polices for the island and seek help from other states like Kedah or Perak which is under the opposition Government?
I know there are many people were being influence to vote who and who, and who and who will be able to help the country, blah blah blah….
These people only want who and who to win, to lead… but none of these people will understand the residents in that area is so tense, scared and worried. Cuz, the influence people have never been thru the pain 1969 case. Don’t they??
Though who and who has won by majority votes, have anyone thought of what’s the process and procedure for him to step into Parliament? Anyway, I don’t blog anything about politics nor the Government. But this by-election does piss people like me.
From a quiet town became a happening one…. Every day have lots of helicopters flying around from the dawn onwards, lots of people, lots of polices, lots of FRUs, … and lots of banners and streamers.

Yea, lots of ppl still discussing the same topic through media. This morning also. Somebody phone to voice out in the radio program but still bring the story of who and who eventhough it's totally out of topic.
well, let's see it at a positive way, anywhere i'm feeling glad about this by-election:
1. food courts, shopping complexes, and etc getting more business and visitors. hawkers earn more than usual.
2. umno lose again after 308. this means that the way they rule the politic really got some problem, they can't even touch the malays' hearts.
3. the by-election makes a lot of ppl start sticking at the media, internet, newspaper; which i think is a good thing. there are so many ppl donno what's going on in the world today. i hope everyone don't ever have that kind of thinking about "well, i don't care wat happen at the outside world,as long as i live happily enough liao"
that's my 2 cents~
To me, it is not whose win or whose lose, the important Malaysian need to live better, they deserve better life..the Malay, Chinese, India and all walk of malaysian.
Whose care the politic...we want progress...I want to be pround of being a Malaysian!!!

Actually, I am happy for by-election. Yet another voice be heard. I really don't mind about the talks they wanna held at road sides or wherever.
However, I was concern and mad about "those" pick up trucks or private cars with their "flags" all over the car, drove very slowly along the way, blocking all other cars to move. Not only driving slow, they even flashed emergency light and stopped in the middle of Jln Baru to pick up some of their associates before continuing their tortoise journey. My Goodness, who do they think they are ???
Hi New kid, I too don't blog about politics...I love to read about it, I mean ours and US or Europe but lost touch with Malaysia.
Anyway, this my personal opinion, for a country to improve, there must be freedom of the press. And no government should control or own the press...then you'll see who gets wakeup calls everyday.
Our newspapers here don't take prisoners and especially where there are journalists who monitor the local government as well National.
There's one journalist here...every morning, all the local politicians, heads of government departments open their papers first thing in the morning to his section...whether Olympics or Tsunami somewhere going on, it is his article they check out first.
Why? Because he, there's a she too, both don't take prisoners...and he/she will not only goreng but bungkus the VIPS, be it the PM or head of whatever government dept.
Everyone worries when going to sleep at night wondering whether their name might be on his/her hit list next morning.
Ahhhh, the result? Things sure get done very fast.
And God help the VIP who happens to flaunt his wealth.
No VIP here drives or owns a Mercedes...there's one who owns a BMW, but a 7 year old one he bought second hand. No MP dares to own a Mercedes or BMW or big homes. There will be questions relating to his salary and how he can afford it?
There's also yearly or 6 moths publication of profit and loss statements by the government, local government. Where our tax monies go?
Our previous datuk bandar was even called a clown for his funny actions and activities.
Oh ya, there's a section in our papers devoted to complaints by the public re holes in roads, grass not cut, lamp post no light, etc...it is investigated, photos taken and the person incharge of that department name mentioned, and when action will be taken. You can bet things get fixed very fast.
Yes, freedom of the press....it will be a great wakeup call to everyone.
Our Datuk Bandar sometimes goes to work by subway or bus, no police escort. MP's too.
One MP cycles to work, ha ha.
By the way, our cops come very fast when called...I just posted about this too.
You take care and have a great week, Lee.
